Geolife No Virus Bio Viricide: Organic Solution for Cucumber Viral Diseases and Plant Health

Geolife No virus is Bio viricide, made up of beneficial plant consortia. It not only controls the viral diseases of cucumbers but also promotes the new leaf, improves the plant health and yield of the crop.  No virus is a good organic viricide for various viral diseases of cucumbers. It restricts the entry of the virus into the plant cell and helps to rejuvenate the infected plant leaves. The product contains various phytochemicals, including terpenoids, alkaloids, tannins, polyphenols, and peptides activate the plant defense mechanism to fight against the viruses. In this article we are going to give a package of knowledge about No virus, its usage, mode of action, benefits and care to be taken while using this.

No Virus Bio Viricide on Chilli Crop

No Virus has antioxidants that fight damage caused by viruses. It also stops viruses from sticking to cells by blocking special proteins on the virus. This helps in the early stages of a viral infection. This produce can be used for all crops like, field crops, vegetables, fruits and ornamental crops.

List of Viral Diseases

  1. Cucumber mosaic disease
  2. Watermelon mosaic disease
  3. Zucchini yellow mosaic disease
  4. Squash mosaic disease

Most affected plant parts: Leaves, flowers and fruits

Vegetative stage

During the vegetative stage of cucumber growth, the plant focuses on developing its foliage and establishing a strong root system. This stage typically begins after the seed has germinated and the plant has emerged from the soil. During this phase, the cucumber plant will produce numerous leaves and stems, which are essential for photosynthesis and providing structural support. Insects play a major role in entry of viruses into plants, so regular monitoring of insect population and proper management practices encourages good yield.

Cucumber mosaic disease

Symptoms

  • On the youngest leaves, a light- to dark-green mottling or mosaic initially appears.
  • The outer edges of the newly formed leaves curl downward, causing them to appear stunted and deformed.
  • Unusual characteristics, like green petals, can appear in flowers.
  • Fruit from diseased plants is typically smaller, slightly malformed, and has light- and dark-green skin mosaic patterns.
  • The virus is spread through an aphid insect.

Product Usage: Foliar application of No Virus is recommended for disease control. It’s advisable to spray before the actual viral infection occurs, as curative control is effective in managing the disease during its initial stage. If the disease is spreading rapidly, a second spray should be done at a 15-day interval. Additionally, a foliar spray of 5 ml per liter of water is recommended as a curative measure when diseases start spreading across the entire field. Combining No Virus application with recommended insecticides and micronutrients can help accelerate recovery from viral infections

Dosage: 3 ml / L of water, No virus is recommended as preventive whereas 5 ml / L of water as curative, once disease starts disseminated to the other plants. No virus is compatible with other insecticides and micronutrients.

Watermelon mosaic

Symptoms

  • When a cucumber leaf is infected when it is young, it might develop elongated and narrow.
  • Vein banding on the leaf surface produces a green to dark green mosaic look.
  • WMV-infected plants usually produce stunted, twisted, and occasionally knobby fruit.
  • Watermelon mosaic symptoms often appear 7 to 14 days after infection, and combined infections (WMV and CMV) are frequent, particularly in the later part of the season.

Product Usage: Using No Virus as a curative measure can help alleviate vein banding on leaves. In cases of severe disease, applying a preventive spray can effectively limit the virus’s further spread. No Virus works by preventing viruses from entering plant cells through attachment or fusion. Additionally, proper nutrition management tailored to the crop’s requirements plays a crucial role in controlling viral diseases.

Dosage: Before incidence of disease foliar application of 3 ml / L of water to avoid the incidence of disease, if we observe initial symptoms of disease apply second spray at 15 days interval. In a curative way, the management of insect vectors is very important. Therefore, taking curative spray 5ml/lit of water with recommended insecticide and micronutrient will help to quickly recover from the disease.

Flowering  stage

During the flowering stage, chili plants shift from vegetative growth to reproductive development. Approximately two months after transplanting, these plants begin to produce small white flowers with star-shaped petals, featuring purple anthers and filaments. Proper soil moisture maintenance and attentive care are essential during this phase. A successful flowering stage lays the groundwork for a bountiful chili harvest.

Zucchini disease

Symptoms

  • Stunted zucchini plants exhibit limited flowering, distorted existing blooms, and yellow mosaic-like symptoms on the foliage.
  • The fruit has a knobby appearance, is smaller, twisted, and frequently disfigured by lumps.
  • Compared to plants infected after the first fruit set, crops infected early in their development are more vulnerable to aborted fruit and a lower yield.

Product Usage: Regular crop management practices like nutrient management, irrigation management, and weed management is required for good crop establishment and yield. Foliar application of  No virus at recommended dose stops viruses from sticking to cells by blocking special proteins on the virus. This helps to crop in the early stages of a viral infection.

Dosage: Preventive application of No virus at 3 m l/ L of virus restricts the virus spread within the plant. This product also blocks or attachment of viruses on the plant. If the disease is more severe the curative foliar spray at 5ml/lit of water. Repeat application of No Virus® 5ml/Ltr of water dosage with any biostimulant like Geolife’s Vigore to be done at 4-5 days after first application.  Repeat 2-3 subsequent applications along with insecticide/biostimulant after 10-15 days intervals as per the need.

Conclusion

No Virus is an environmentally friendly solution for virus management No Virus serves as an efficient solution for preventing and managing viral infections in plants. It enhances plant immunity and demonstrates resistance during infection. Notably, it leaves no chemical residues on crops or soil, making it an environmentally friendly choice. No Virus effectively combats mosaic and Zucchini viruses in cucumber plants. Additionally, its compatibility with all insecticides and suitability for various crops make it a valuable tool for residue-free farming practices.
