Microgreens are packed with nutrients and can be grown at home in just 7 days. Follow these simple steps to grow fresh, healthy microgreens with minimal effort.
Pick seeds like mustard, fenugreek, radish, or sunflower. Ensure they are organic and untreated for safe consumption.
1. Choose Your Microgreens
Use a shallow tray with drainage holes. Fill it with a light, well-draining soil mix or a damp paper towel as a growing medium.
2. Prepare a Growing Tray
Evenly scatter the seeds over the soil. Press them gently into the surface but don’t bury them. Mist with water to keep them moist.
3. Spread the Seeds Evenly
Spray water lightly and cover with a lid or dark cloth for 2 days. This helps the seeds germinate faster.
4. Keep Moist & Cover
After 2 days, remove the cover and place the tray in indirect sunlight. Keep watering lightly to maintain moisture.
5. Provide Light & Air
Once microgreens reach 2-3 inches tall, use scissors to cut them above the soil. Rinse before use.
6. Harvest in 7 Days
Use microgreens in salads, sandwiches, or smoothies for a nutritious boost. Grow a new batch every week!
