Spider Mites: Spot And Stop These Tiny Destroyers!

Small but dangerous, spider mites destroy crops quickly. Here's how to spot them early and learn safe and effective methods to eliminate them.

Spider mites are small insects that feed on leaf sap. They web and produce yellow spots, leaf fall, and stunted plant growth.

Check between leaves for small red or white specks. Fine webbing is usually an indication that they have infestated and begun breeding.

They love hot dry conditions and primarily attack vegetables such as chilli, tomato, brinjal, and flowers.

Spray neem oil, soap water, or garlic–chilli extract. These decrease mite population without affecting beneficial insects.

Keep plants humid. Spider mites hate moisture—mist leaves gently in fields or polyhouses.

Apply miticides such as Dicofol or Abamectin only when infestation is severe and natural sprays fail.

Monitor regularly and take early action to save your crop. Do not wait for webs!
